|▶ BPP 2014 EBOLA OUTBREAK RELIEF INITIATIVE|
At Black Pearl Press, our commitment to the community extends beyond the services we provide and our customer-service focus. We are determined to be an active leader in supporting the needs of people in less-fortunate circumstances whenever possible, and have used our platform to support local and international initiatives.
On a local level, Black Pearl Press has provided printing services for cultural groups, non-profit organizations, and local humanitarian efforts. Our services extend beyond our printing quality and include our expertise and knowledge of ways to minimize customer costs, our ability to collaborate with customers to create the perfect design, and our dedication to building a lasting relationship so that we can continue to support your ongoing needs.
Internationally, one of our biggest initiatives occurred in 2014, after the outbreak of the deadly Ebola disease in West Africa in the countries of Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia. With the devastating impact of the disease being felt around the world, the Black Pearl Press team felt the need to do something to help. Our team came up with a campaign to print and sell t-shirts to raise awareness and support for victims in West Africa, in collaboration with the Sierra Leone Nationals Association of Manitoba.
Black Pearl Press designed the SAVE A LIFE logo, provided the t-shirts, printed the t-shirts and sold them with members of the Sierra Leonean Community. Through our collaboration, we were able to raise and donate $10,000 to support the Canadian Red Cross who was already on the ground in Africa helping treat victims of the Ebola outbreak. For our efforts, we were presented with a Philanthropy Award in 2015 at Sierra Leone’s 54th Independence Anniversary in Winnipeg, MB.
As an organization, we are always looking for new ways to support people in our community and abroad, and we look forward to providing the same level of quality, effort and support in fulfillment of your printing needs as well!
